For the logo design of a new production company, Everest Entertainment, the creative brief instructed focusing on “the journey” of story. Several designers in our group pitched designs that were refined in-house before being presented to the client. Ultimately, the client settled on a mark that I designed, the letter E formed from ascending stair steps. The mountaintop of Everest was brought into the design in the storyboard phase, adding a grandeur of scale and scope to the company’s image. The companies first film release using the logo was “127 HOURS” which was nominated for six Academy Awards, including Best Actor (James Franco) and Best Picture.
